What Kind of Surveillance Camera and How Many Do You Need?
A single surveillance camera may be more than enough if everything you wish to keep safe is in one location. If it’s not, you need to consider purchasing more than one surveillance camera and ensure that their installation will allow them to work together under one security networking system.
Fake or Dummy Cameras
They are relatively cheap and an excellent security device if all you wish is for a way to deter people from committing any kind of misdemeanor in your workplace.
Covert or Visible Operation
Regular surveillance cameras are either mounted on the wall or from the ceilings. They are entirely visible and they work effectively if you want people to know that the entire workplace is being monitored.
If, however, you wish to have the element of surprise in your side, you’re better off using a covert surveillance camera. These are small enough to be hidden inside or behind photo frames, wall clocks, and anything other object that would appear harmless and certainly not out of place in any given setting.
Wired or Wireless Surveillance Cameras
Wireless surveillance cameras are costlier but they are easier to conceal. They are also quicker to install and uninstall if you intend to use them at more than one location.
Features to Look for in a Surveillance Camera
Now that you know the various types of surveillance cameras you can use for your business, here are other key features you need to consider.
Night Vision
This feature would naturally make your surveillance camera more expensive than usual, but it will also give you sharp black-and-white photos or video footage that ordinary surveillance cameras are incapable of producing.
Online Access
Monitor what’s happening in your business at any time of the day just by keying in the URL and login details for your security system. Professional installation, however, is generally necessary for this kind of setup.
Power Options
Surveillance cameras that are battery-powered or have backup power supply available will continue to work even when the entire workplace is suffering from power shortages.
Storage Capabilities
Last but not the least, be sure to check how the surveillance camera is able to store its recorded footage. Can you use any memory card or USB flash disk with it? Without reliable storage capabilities, footage from your surveillance camera could be accidentally and permanently deleted.

Hidden Cameras in Stuffed Animal Toys

In your efforts to keep family, friends, and valuables safe from harm, you want equipment that you can completely trust. A hidden camera can be a fantastically effective lookout. Hidden camera pictures can give you the eyes in the back of your head that you’ve always wanted.
Now, a hidden spycamera might seem a bit overdramatic. After all, you don’t want to become a paranoid person who can’t stand to trust anyone. But hidden video surveillance has become a commonplace precaution in our society. It isn’t an extreme measure anymore and people shouldn’t feel awkward about taking advantage of the protection it can provide.
In order for a hidden camera to be as successful as it can be, it has to obviously remain hidden. The advantage of the hidden surveillance camera is that it allows you to observe people in situations where they are unaware that they are being watched.
If people don’t know they’re being watched, they will act naturally and ultimately you will be able to determine their trustworthiness, their character and their intentions in your home. It’s an extremely helpful tool when you have housekeepers, dog walkers or people watching your children.
On the children front, many parents are hesitant when it comes to finding a new babysitter. Childcare providers need to be completely dependable. How can you know what goes on once you lock the door and leave for the evening? The answer is simple and relatively inexpensive. Cheap hidden cameras can be purchased and set up in strategic places around your home.
If the purpose of your wireless hidden spy camera is to monitor the babysitter, then there’s no better place to stash the hidden wireless cameras than in something your child is likely to play with or keep near them. For example, by hiding the camera in your child’s stuffed animal, the camera is free to observe unnoticed by all. It is functional, unobtrusive and it is placed to give you maximum access to the events of the evening.
In the society we live in, hidden video surveillance is a presence most people have come to accept. If you run a red light, there are digital hidden security cameras waiting to snap a photo of your license plate. It’s natural to want that kind of protection and security in your own home.
By taking advantage of the hidden camera video in your child’s stuffed animal, you might uncover an irresponsible babysitter. Hidden camera pictures will give you undeniable evidence. If caught in the act of wrongdoing, the person cannot deny their behavior. You may save yourself and your child from harm by monitoring the situation with a wireless hidden camera.
It is a simple, relatively inexpensive act. And so much the better if the live hidden camera never proves anything except your protectiveness. No harm done if nothing suspicious ever comes up on the film.
The evidence is certainly there, though. It’s a fact that hidden cameras have saved peoples from horrible situations. Children cannot let their parents know what goes on when they’re alone. They can’t speak to their parents or warn them about neglectful babysitters. It is the responsibility of the parent to secure a safe environment for their child. Hidden security cameras can protect your home and are well worth the purchase.

Surveillance Cameras: Which One Is Right For You?
June 15, 2009 by Surveillance Tips and Advice
Filed under About Surveillance
In the old days, only big and successful firms can afford them. These days, however, digital multiplexing and the Internet have so democratized access to surveillance systems that just about anyone can purchase and install surveillance cameras. The question is, thus, no longer, “Can you own a surveillance system?” but “What kind of surveillance system is right for you?”.
So, how do you know which surveillance camera is right for you?
There are many types of surveillance cameras in the market today. In fact, sleeker and more powerful versions are introduced to the market almost every month. Knowledge of the different types, as well as the differences of each one, will make it easier for you to take your pick from the many types and models in the market.
Fake surveillance cameras
Technically, these are not surveillance cameras. They are only inexpensive models that look like one. They are very cheap alternatives to an actual system. The advantage of this type of surveillance camera is its price. The drawback is that this is simply a deterrent and should crime actually take place inside your home or office, for example, you will not have any record of it.
Wired surveillance cameras
These are best for you if you have only one location to constantly monitor. Most surveillance cameras are easy to install, and you can do the installation yourself. There are, however, other models that require professional help.
Wireless surveillance cameras
These are more flexible than wired surveillance cameras. They are easy to move around. Moreover, they are very small and do not have a trail of wires giving their location away. They are also easy to install. You would not have problems setting them up based on instructions from manuals.
Covert surveillance cameras
These surveillance cameras are decor-friendly because they look like regular items. You could easily record goings-on without arousing anyone’s suspicions. Covert surveillance cameras may come in the guise of a teddy bear in a child’s room, a potted plant by the window sill, or a clock in a small store.
Home surveillance cameras
These are the surveillance systems homeowners frequently purchase. When you buy a setup for your home, you will almost always get a system that includes such bonuses as motion sensors for your wireless camera and timers for your lamps. Like most surveillance cameras, these are easy to install and are very user-friendly.
Night vision surveillance cameras
If you want to monitor an area that is dim not only at night but even during the day as well, then night vision surveillance cameras are for you. These record in black and white in order to capture the clearest images possible.
Surveillance cameras are extremely useful in protecting your home or office. They will allay your fears of the unknown, reconstruct events should something terrible happen, and help you decide which course of action to take in times of misfortune. They should be chosen with care. It is possible that your choice of surveillance cameras might one day help save your life.
