Can you answer Vampire Lover’s question about Surveillance?:
I am doing a debate on whether public school should implement the use of surveillance cameras. I have tried to research on the pros and cons but I feel limited. I would like some personal thoughts about this topic. Thank you. :]

Surveillance Feedback: A con would be how the kids would feel like they’re watched constantly, more than they already are.
However, they are in a public place which is kind of different than their homes. It would increase the safety of the school.
Surveillance Feedback: well the good part of having cameras would be the power that you’d have, bad news, NO PrivacY!
Surveillance Feedback: i think that a pro is that they would be caught if they are doing something bad like selling drugs or something, but a con is that it is an invasion of privacy.
good luck with the debate!!
Surveillance Feedback: pros are that there would probably be less vandilism since there will be a camera watching. and i dont think there are any cons in my opinion i would want cameras around as long as theyre not in the bathrooms, or in the classrooms maybe just around the halls and stuff.
Surveillance Feedback: Cons:
complete invasion of privacy.
can be expensive.
Pro:
in the event of a fight or vandalism, the authorities can find out who the culprits are.
can make schools safer.

Surveillance Feedback: Me thinks you’re in the wrong section with that question.
Surveillance Feedback: I don’t think there are any cons. They are cheap & efficient as long as the recording tapes are rotated as scheduled..
Sorry if you’re a student & don’t want to be surveiled, but it keeps you & everyone else safer in the long run. So pros would be safety, anti-theft, ensuring adherence to hallway policies & in the event of a break-in, robbery, assault, or a natural disaster or fire or something, it would provide a record of sorts.
Cons: Invasion of privacy
School rules based on a foundation of fear which if we know much about soviet russia often leads to a paranoid state of affairs
If ppl are doing some thing wrong well they can just easily put a hood or some thing else on to cover their identity.
