    Surveillance Feedback: Just like a webcam, but with a built in ethernet port.

    The workings of a camera are explained here:

    Surveillance Feedback: Ip cameras are a combination of camera, and webserver.
    They usually use the Apache Webserver running on Linux and publish the images as a webpage, accessed via an ip address.
    Connection to the camera could by via ethernet cat5 cable or wireless.
    You use a web browser to configure and view the camera.
