Can you answer Brian B’s question about Surveillance?:
I currently have a ip camera in my garage for surveillance hooked to my router with rj45, I want to put a comp out there now and run the network to it as well. will i just be able to use a switch and run the wire from the router to the switch and split it to the cam and comp? or will I need another rj45 all the way from the router to both the cam and the comp. I really dont want to have to run a seperate line its almost a 200ft run

Surveillance Feedback: Yes. You should be able to put a switch at the end of the cable near the camera and then connect the camera and the computer to the switch.
100 meters is as long as cat5 cable is rated for so you are inside the specifications.
Good luck.
